Can we get married in the US on an ESTA then apply for CR1?

I'm stuck in a job that's crushing my spirit and pays me next to nothing, and i finally have enough money to afford a two way ticket and an esta application. I really want to just drop everything and visit my partner in the US for two months with an ESTA. he suggested we could get married during my stay. Would this be okay ? We're just wondering if it's a possibility to be able to apply and be together sooner. Thank you for replies.

Question: which visa would be better for us? (Fiancé or spousal visa)

We have been dating for 7 years but haven't been able to meet yet due to financial issues and the pandemic. We're getting close to having enough to finally be able to meet in my home country and we want to get engaged during his visit here. Our plan was originally the k1/fianc visa but i've been advised against it on reddit due to the long wait periods to get a work permit and ability to travel etc. But the problem about the CR1 is that we won't have any joint accounts/shared mortgage etc what is considered strong evidence of a bona fide marriage. We thought we could get married/elope in my home country, then my spouse would return home and file for me and give them the evidence we have (skype logs, messages, package and gift receipts, pictures) since we will likely have to live separately until i can move to live together in the US therefore can't share an account/car/etc like i mentioned above, but i'm worried it wouldn't be solid enough for the marriage visa. TLDR: we will be meeting in person for the first time and getting engaged but we don't know which visa would work for us.

Bringing (a lot of) meds with me when immigrating

Hello,

I am finally moving to the states on the 20th this month :)

I have however a question about bringing prescription meds with me. I have pcos for which I have been taking a specific type of the birth control pill. My doctor kindly prescribed 5 packs or 15 months worth of the pill, which is obviously way more than the 90 days worth of they talk about on the TSA website. I probably won't need all of it as we are thinking about starting a family soon with my husband, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Where I come from, we get the pills in strips with the name of the meds on the back of it. My name is not on it and my prescription was a qr code that became disfunctional once scanned at the pharmacy.

How should I pack this? I'm worried they will be suspicious at the amount and confiscate it. Im thinking spliting it between my carry-on and my two checked begs, that way I have at least something left when I arrive? But that would probably seem even more suspicious to them

I am also bringing some other meds, some prescription and some not, mainly pain killers used for period pain/back pain, allergies etc. but don't have the prescription for that either. I wouldn't even bother bringing these but I'd rather have it in case I need it and can avoid a (expensive) trip to doctor's in the states, at least for a while.

Any advice or personal experience will be greatly appreciated

Thank you!

Ustraveldocs kept giving me errors, then froze my account, need help

Hello,

I have received the email from nvc that they sent my case to the Prague embassy yesterday morning. I already had the ustraveldocs account, so I logged in, and followed the steps in "new application/schedule appointment". I got to step 8 where it asked me to confirm the case ID, but when I hit the confirm button it gave me error message saying ""To attest payment you must enter your receipt number and check the box." Which was very confusing as it didnt give me any payment options yet and there were no boxes to check.

I figured there was something wrong with the website and tried a different browser, which turned out to be a big mistake as I think that is what gave me the freeze on my account.

I emailed the Prague embassy first, but then I learned that there is a ustraveldocs email adress (support-czechrepublic...), so I emailed them explaining the situation and asking for help (that was before I found out the account was frozen).

So far I only got an auto generated email from CGI support saying they changed my password.

To make things worse, they (CGI support, which i didnt email at all) sent me an email for new users with my login details to my gmail (but I already had an account made with my czech adress, the one they froze), so in hopes I could get past the freeze and finally schedule the appointment I logged in, but it just made me merge those two accounts - I have 2 email adresses, I used the Czech one to create the first account and the gmail to email them about the error message since my czech email looks a bit sketchy to non-czechs, but they probably just took it as that was my login email and sent me a new password for that again this morning.

I don't think anybody has actually looked at the error message I got, at least not yet, and I am quite worried that when they finally un-freeze my account, it will be the same issue with the same weird error message.

Do you have any advice as to who to contact or how to get help with this?

Also, is it possible that if I dont confirm the interview date within x amount of days, they will give it to somebody else? the wait time I got is already way longer than everone else I have seen in Prague, so I would be really dissapointed if it got postponed yet again.

Thank you!

Embassy demanding Covid boosters (3rd dose) at medical?

Hello,

Does anybody know what the actual recquirements for the covid vaccine are from CDC?

I thought until now that I have to be "fully vaccinated" (= 2 doses of a 2 dose vaccine), in order to pass the medical for my visa interview (CR1 immigrant visa).

Somebody just told me however, that she had to take the vaccine booster in August, since they told her her 2nd dose was older than 6 months and therefore she was not "fully vaccinated" anymore. She also needed to get her tetanus shot after 15 years, so she ended up having 2 vaccines in the same week (and got pretty sick) and as I am due to my tetanus shot as well, I would like to avoid that scenario...

That being said the old medical place for the Prague embassy was quite sketchy (horrendous reviews, rude staff, bad practice overall...) and they have changed it since to a new location (slightly less sketchy).

Is it possible that the old place was just demanding that for no reason, or is there a 6 month rule somewhere that I am not aware of?

Thank you
